Yes, more plastic so we can have bigger floating islands of trash in the ocean. You call to mind one of my older posts with a nod to the impact of too much plastic:

Appreciate the call to pay attention and to engage, actively, in kindness. This line, not your intended focus, made me a sad: “With the increased cost of eggs, those colorful plastic ones are likely to fill the shopping baskets.” Just what we need, more plastic. 😩

Thanks, Ian. Writing helps to maintain a level of interest and strength although strength and mobility are in short supply and not likely to return given the diagnosis and prognosis. And I am OK with that, having accepted and embraced my mortality years ago, these last years are whatever I can make of them. As everyone will discover, sooner or later, the latter days are all about the quality of life and how we can be as comfortable as possible under the circumstances. There are good days, today being one thus far but things can change within 24 hours. And there are not so good days. Good sleep and a good diet help with maintaining an acceptable level of activity, far less than what mine was in previous years. Some drugs help to mitigate some of the symptoms, especially pain. So, all in all, grateful to still be here, doing what I can to contribute here and elsewhere.

Thanks Gary. Be as well as can be mate. I consider it one of the miracles of technology and life, that someone I never met, now on the other side of the world, can touch my heart and life and remind me of the beauty of a life well lived. Thank you for a rich vein of kindness and warm insight you have added to my life. Bless you mate.

Thanks, Diana. It is a strange plane I find myself on and I am trying to write some of it down to post later this week. For one thing, my sense of time and clock times are not in sync from what they used to be - waking in the morning after a good night’s sleep seems like it’s time to go to bed instead of time to get up. This and numerous other experiences seem a bit abnormal, but then, so am I! Some of it is rather amusing, other pieces not much.

Thanks, Don. In spite of everything that might be not so bright, we have only to bask in the sunlight to know we’re connected to a depedable source, at least thus far.
