Sounds like fun. Jennifer and I hiked along that trail in Tubac recently. Also, interesting bit of trivia; many years ago, Jennifer‘s great uncle Brownie was the mayor of Wickenburg!
You didn’t say much about your gorgeous new dog!
Happy Thanksgiving, Gary and Susie. Drive carefully!
New addition to our twosome, now a threesome, is a Moyen Poodle, in between Standard and Miniature but at 16 weeks he weighs 24 pounds and his paws are fairly large which makes us think he may top out around 45 lbs.
Getting socialized here with family, kids and another dog. Now some training for both dog and us. Pets are special friends, great companions and have keen, sharp senses we have lost. Lots to learn from the world of animals. Saw “Postcard From the Earth” last night at “The Sphere.” Quite the spectacle with a great message. Unbelievable graphics!
Gary, what a great adventure. You've given me permission to confess -- I still like paper maps too! Your pictures are beautiful and I love that picking up a dog along the way is part of the story. May your adventuring continue to be joyful. Sending you best wishes for a safe drive home with the new pup, and many more adventures (which I hope you'll share here). Happy holidays.
I noticed you went through Sinaloa, probably on the cuota around Culiacan with no issues. Probably noticed much less traffic than usual if you are at all familiar with that route. Safe travels!
Sounds like a lovely trip - and I'm sure it was simpler doing it in a car and not a camper. Your new dog looks very dignified - I hope he proves to be a friend for many, many years to come.

You're a veritable Jack Kerouac by Nissan character!
Thanks! I accept veritable, Kerouac, maybe..
You will, of course, need a roll of paper and a portable typewriter ... so you can be a beat-poet too, or would that be a beat-poet-two?
Thanks for sharing your trip with us Gary. Happy Thanksgiving.
What a wonderful vicarious vacation this morning, Gary. Wishing you many happy miles!!
