I am happy to have found you and your Substack. I appreciate your candor in talking about future possibilities in a matter of fact way. I will be 81 in a few weeks. I sold all my belongings fourteen months ago and live out of a backpack as I travel outside the US (in Porto, Portugal at the moment) all but a few weeks ago year. It is encouraging to me that there are so many like-minded others. I also write a Substack titled The Destination is now where I reflect on my understanding of reality as I live it. There is a pillow with a changing cover that remains the same underneath. Just like a ragged pillow cover gets discarded, our bodies will also inevitably change. The world may seem hollow and insubstantial, but we must be careful not to speak so openly about it in order to avoid hurting others.
